Photoshop Tutorial – Selection Tools
Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, Rectangle Marquee and Oval Marquee Tools

This is a tutorial on how to use the Photoshop Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, Rectangle Marquee and Oval Marquee Tools. While this is a basic skills video, it cover quite a bit of ground, and will require lots of practice to get good at this. But, chin up, you can do it.
Rectangular Selection Tool
Description – This allows you to make a selection in the shape of a rectangle or square.
Options – The feathering of the edges. Also Fixed Size or Aspect Ratio.
Modifier Keys – Shift – Allows you to add to the current selection.
Modifier Keys – Shift/Apple or Shift/Start – Perfect Square.
Oval Selection Tool
Description – This allows you to make a selection in the shape of an oval or circle.
Options – The feathering of the edges. Also Fixed Size or Aspect Ratio.
Modifier Keys – Shift – Allows you to add to the current selection.
Modifier Keys – Shift/Apple or Shift/Start – Perfect Circle.
Single Row Marquee Tool
Description – This allows you to make a selection of a single row of pixels.
Options – The feathering of the edges.
Modifier Keys – None
Single Column Marquee Tool
Description – This allows you to make a selection of a single row of pixels.
Options – The feathering of the edges.
Modifier Keys – None
