Photoshop Tutorial - Adjustment Layers

Running Time: 5 minutes
In Adobe Photoshop there are two different ways that you can make major corrections. You can make an adjustment by using the pull down menu, or you can learn to use Adjustment Layers. By using the pull down menu, you will effectively be damaging the file that you are working on. This is because any moves that you make are permanent. However, if you were to use Adjustment Layers, you would get the same options, but you can go backwards and make adjustments afterward. Effectively, this allows you to make the same corrections, but you can go backwards and alter it when comparing the move that you made with other layers, so you can constantly adjust as you are going forward.
Learning how to use Adjustment Layers is one of the most important skills in Photoshop CS5.5.
