I would like to thank everyone who recommended me as a guest trainer. As of right now, I have not heard back from them, nor do I think they have even looked into it (IP Address checking). Likely, I am not even a blip on their map. But all I can do is stand up, and hope to be noticed. Of course, I don't have published books or other business connections. So, I am sure that makes for an uphill battle. Oh well, if they call, they call. Moving on…
Speaking of connections and networking, we have a photo shoot coming up this weekend. It started as an idea of the photographer. He contacted an old friend, and landed a millionaire mansion (with the expensive cars and such). He used that to get us some models from a top New York Agency. He used that to get a designer with a known name (still not sure how he managed that one though). When the agency found out who the designer was, he bumped up the quality of the model (no longer a newbie). So now I am knee deep in the fashion industry about to jump in. Gulp.

Zombie Challenge Submissions
Remember that zombie submission from a few weeks ago? Well, they have posted several…. creative (?)… submissions. I question if all of these are even work friendly. Pass at your own risk.
Photoshop Basic Video Course
I have a live class starting August 21. Wait… you missed it! Now the students know more about Raw Processing and Bit Depth than you do.
This sucks, I sure wish I had a way to teach you about Photoshop right now, so you can catch up. Oh wait, silly me. I put the entire thing into a downloadable course. You could start right now, and be super smart with Photoshop.
Photoshop CC 14.1 and Lightroom for only $9.99/mo
If you did not know, Adobe took huge hits when it thought everyone wanted to give them $30/mo for Photoshop. They have come to their senses, and included both Photoshop and Lightroom for only $10/mo for life. Makes me actually consider it now. Especially as they have announced the next update already. Nothing I need as a retoucher, but I love the idea of regular updates. Maybe the update to the Camera Shake Filter. I've been using that more and more as a sharpening filter. It really does a nice job. Their website still has the old info on it, so wait until the official announcement.
Boosting Contrast with Luminosity Mask
I swear, some people just have so much time on their hands, they are happy to do things the hard way. I illustrate this simply as way not to do it. I prefer sharpen to sharpen, saturate to saturate, and levels/curves for contrast. I am just saying… why introduce some bizarre way of doing things, that you will forget 5 minutes from now? Keep it simple.
Finally – A Photoshop Course Designed for Your Success!
Just yesterday, I finished a Basic 1 Course. Walter gave many words of encouragement.
"The price was excellent – large amount of information and class time with quality teaching. The course gave a solid comfort level and knowledge base to use on my photography, and to build on. I totally plan to take another course. I have enjoyed the experience." – Walter Kupsik
If you would like to follow behind Walter, and start learning Photoshop, consider purchasing a video course, or taking one of my upcoming live events. Like so many before you, you will be glad that you did.
