I have had the quietest past 3 weeks, than I have had in years. I really don't know what to make of it. I am about to be slammed with images from London and Florance next week. Personally, I am pretty excited about getting a guided tour, from the comfort of my office chair. I guess I'm just lazy like that.
Camera Raw Filter
In my final tutorial on Smart Objects, I discuss the Camera Raw Filter. The introduction of this in CC was a huge improvement, and really allowed me to work with a greater degree of flexibility. If you haven't used it yet, check this out.
Harsh Honest Critiques
I have come across this guy before, he has a Podcast on photography. In this video, he reviews the photography of his mentee. He is pretty brutal, but both his comments, and the images, are very well done. The good stuff starts about 6 minutes in.
Make Eyes Look Amazing
Here is a very different, and artistic approach of enhancing eyes in Photoshop. Thanks Aaron, making me think outside the box, as always.
Retouching Academy Facebook
If you did not know something like this even existed, there is a Facebook group of professional retouchers who are mentors for aspiring retouchers. While April has been closed off, you can apply, and find out about the May round of the Mentorship program. I would like to personally thank Julia, and everyone else who puts themselves out there to make something like this happen.
Green Screen Removal Software
I had never actually head of this product before. I can't speak to whether it's any good or not, but with a $300 price tag, I would expect amazing things. I usually just suggest shooting against white. That makes it really easy to mask and cleanup.
Replace the Sky in Photoshop
This is an in depth video on replacing the sky. If you have never seen one of Manny's videos before, you should check this one out.
Remove Color Cast in Photoshop
Here is a video from Michael that shows how to think outside the box. Bring some lunch, it will take a little while to get out there. If you are an intermediate retoucher, you should definitely start following his stuff. Michael makes everything as complicated as possible. From a learning point of view, even I have to sit there, and analyze what he is up to in his videos. He definately brings much needed creative thinking to Photoshop tutorials. Always thought provoking.
