Adobe Photoshop Basic Class
So you want to get started on retouching your photo, and the most basic thing you want to do is select particular objects in your picture. Sure, Photoshop’s got all the obvious tools like the Magic Wand or Lasso, but using these to select your objects just takes too much time and unnecessary effort, not to mention the selection will end up looking amateurish and unrealistic. When you want to isolate certain areas in your image, do as the professionals do—use Masking.
I’ll make sure to cover all the details for the tools and palettes used. We’ll start out simple with Selections Tools, and slowly, over the next hour, we’ll start increasing the complexity. Each lesson will be detailed enough that after taking the class, you will wonder why you’ve never used these tools before. And upon applying what you’ve learned, you’ll be surprised at how drastically your work will improve.
Some topics include:
- Selection Tools
- Brush Palette
- Color Range
- Type Masks
