Who Are You?
The Art of Retouching Studio does professional, contract work. We can not show our day to day work on this website for obvious, legal reasons. Agencies and Photographers own the images, retouchers own nothing. Because of this, we do tutorials using images of our own. Family, vacations, whatever we have laying around. Personally, I have been using Using Adobe Photoshop since around 1992, starting with version 2.5 back in college. Since then, I have worked on more Agency and Design work than I care to remember.
Why Are You Doing This?
The original intent was to put up a generic portfolio website. However, in doing research, it was obvious that there was something missing when it came to Photoshop Websites. When doing searches, all that seems to come up are poor, $5 per image do-it-all websites from India. To us, just seemed like an open niche, filled with people either wanting to learn, or people who wanted to keep that knowledge to themselves. This seemed silly, after all, we are not in competition for the same clients or work.
When Will New Videos Come Out?
This Photoshop CS5 Tutorial Website has been live since December 2010. Right now, there is a juggling between creating videos, and building the back-end of the website. So, give us some time, and we will be properly up and running. Also keep in mind, that we are intentionally adding General Public Free Videos, as well as Website only Free Videos. So, make sure you sign up to see everything.
What is an RSS Feed?
If you are asking this here, dont worry about it. But, in short, you can watch our videos on your phone, ipad, or other portable device. To those in the know, it will automatically update itself, and let you know a new video is available to watch. Think of it this way, you are going to the gym, and want to watch or listen to something when you get here, but don't want to fiddle around with going to this website, or that website to see what is new, The Feed Reader will download everything for you. All you need to do is choose what you want. When it comes to audio Podcasts, this is perfect for car rides or work. No need for crappy DJs. This is Internet On Demand. I mean, seriously, Pink Floyd made more than 5 songs, expand your horizons.
Why is the RSS feed missing videos?
It is a bug in the content protection. This will be fixed in an upcoming version of the back-end software. Right now, only the stuff freely available to iTunes will work.
