Adobe Photoshop Basic Class
First, Build A Strong Foundation
You might have tried to dabble into Photoshop before, only to click away on your image without the slightest idea of what you’re doing. After hours of frustrating mishaps, you end up with a worse picture than you had before. That’s why before we go into the really juicy stuff, it’s important for us to start from the FUNDAMENTALS. What are the editing best practices? How should you set up your image settings? Which color profile should you use? What is the best file format for your purposes, and what in the world are DPI and PPI?
Thinking for yourself
The goal of this Digital Fundamentals class is to help you think for yourself. When it comes to photo editing, there are rarely hard and fast rules, so our objective here is to equip you with enough knowledge so that you can go out and explore the taught concepts and apply them based on your own needs. Remember that a solid foundation of PRE-PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES will give you the nest POST-PRODUCTION RESULTS.
Some topics include:
- 8/16/32 bit depth and various file formats (JPG, PNG, RAW, TIF)
- Resolution and Scaling
- Pixelization and Anti-Aliasing
- Color Theory and Profiles
- Tonal Range
